Boca Manú Airport

The morning of our departure the river was fogged in. The normally 1-1/2 hour trip took over two. At first we could barely make out the shore. By the time we reached the airport it was beginning to clear a little.
The white zone is for loading and unloading only. Below is a view of the airport parking lot.

Clockwise from top left. The walkway from the food court to the passenger lounge; the control tower/baggage claim/ passenger lounge; The airport entertainment commitee. Below two lovers catch a smooch while waiting for the plane.

Finally the fog lifted enough for the plane to come. Since the unpressurized plane has to reach altitudes of close to 18,000 feet to clear the mountains near Cuzco, there is one point where we have to wear oxygen masks.
